Branson’s “Trail of Lights” at the Shepherd of the Hills Homestead is a favorite visitor tradition! Religious, patriotic, humorous, and Victorian themes can be found throughout the two and a half mile annual holiday display. Winding through the historic Shepherd of the Hills Homestead, the place that helped inspire Harold Bell Wright to pen his best-selling novel, the attraction follows a trail that was once used by early settlers of this beautiful area of the Ozark Mountains.
